Kruger National Park

Explore the Kruger National Park

The Kruger National Park is the ultimate safari destination. It’s the most diverse wildlife destination in the world, with 147 species of mammal (including the Big 5) and 517 species of birds. It is a huge park covering approximately 20,720 square kilometres. It extends 350km from north to south and 60km from east to west.

The area known as the Great Kruger National Park incorporates many of the Private Game Reserves located on the western border of the Kruger National Park, such as the Sabi Sand (where Chitwa Chitwa is located) and Thorny Bush. There are no fences between the Kruger National Park and these private reserves and the animals roam freely between them.

Keep your eyes peeled for the Big 5 as well as the Little 5 on exhilarating 4x4 game drives and bush walks with expert rangers and trackers. Not only that, you’ll also get a better insight into the insect life, bird life (over 500 species), ecosystems, biospheres, constellations and topography. There is nothing quite as magical as a night under the African stars.

We’ve featured a selection of the most popular southern and eastern African destinations in our Tours, but we can help you plan a holiday to any destination, with an itinerary tailored to suit your budget, interests and needs.

Chitwa Chitwa Game Lodge received a Best Value Award for Kruger National Park Accommodation.
