The areas around Cape Town are also worth visiting, such as the Cape Winelands, the Cape Peninsula and the Garden Route, where you can go diving with sharks and whale watching.

Great for families with young kids

It's a lovely place. We stayed in the house (2 bedrooms and vast living) for two nights; it has the huge advantage of private game drives. For an 8 year old and a 13 year old, the combination of two game drives a day (early morning and late afternoon), a private swimming pool and boy-friendly food made Chitwa a winner. The guides - "Surprise" is superb - know the concession and all of its secrets intimately. They keep it safe, too. Spend the big money. Enjoy. Take your kids. Amazing game resort in the middle of the wild life! You sleep listening to criquets and frogs, and wake up with the hipos! beautiful facilities, great design and decoration, very kind and nice crew! Special stars to our ranger Neil, deep knowlegde about the wild life and a great person!

Wonderful and unforgettable experience

We spent four amazing days in Chitwa Chitwa and didn't want to leave. Stephan & Chantal made us very welcome and I have to mention the friendly Leah and Wilson the chef. Our guides were Andries and Betuel - they were friendly and knowledgeable about all the diverse creatures we encountered in the bush - the big five and lots of extras...! The rooms are large and well appointed and the staff ensure the safety of all the visitors without being patronising. The location is simply stunning, the wildlife plentiful and diverse, and the whole experience was outstanding - thank you Chitwa Chitwa...!
