Chobe National Park

You'll find Chobe National Park in the north-east corner of Botswana. It is one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves and Botswana’s first National Park. It is home to great diversity of mammals and over 450 different species of birds.

Chobe is well known for its large herds of elephants - probably one of the densest populations in Africa. - but it also offers opportunities to see some of Africa's big predators in action.

Chobe is just a 90 minute drive from the Victoria Falls so it's possible to visit Chobe on a day tour from the Victoria Falls or as part of a longer tour visiting other parts of Southern Africa.

Awesome 5 day stay

This is not a zoo, so everyone has a different experience. Ours was over the top. We had 5 lions kill a Cape Buffalo 100 yards from our bungalow at 4:00 AM. We can not say enough positive things about our guide Andres. He was Fantastic. I am sure some of the other guides are about as good but we think he was the best by far.

Absolutely Amazing

Everything was amazing here. The food was the best food I have ever had anywhere. The game viewing was top notch. Our driver and guide found all the animals we hoped to see and many more. The lake on the property attracted elephants, giraffes, water buck, impala, and many many more animals. Many different species of birds on the property.

Wonderful and unforgettable experience

We spent four amazing days in Chitwa Chitwa and didn't want to leave. Stephan & Chantal made us very welcome and I have to mention the friendly Leah and Wilson the chef. Our guides were Andries and Betuel - they were friendly and knowledgeable about all the diverse creatures we encountered in the bush - the big five and lots of extras...! The rooms are large and well appointed and the staff ensure the safety of all the visitors without being patronising. The location is simply stunning, the wildlife plentiful and diverse, and the whole experience was outstanding - thank you Chitwa Chitwa...!
